I have two small bits of advice for this situation.

1) Make sure the psychologist you are about to see is an actual 'medical professional', by which I mean a person with an actual medical degree from an accredited medical school. Depending on where you live, anyone who has absolved as much as an 'online course' might be allowed to set up shop and call themselves a "psychologist".

2) Be mindful if you ask random people on the internet for advice in questions of mental health. For all you know any given response might come from somebody more in need of professional help than yourself.

don't think completely distancing youself from the internet is a good idea - maybe try to distance yourself from social media if you're using it? social media is kind of a bad thing most of the time and has a negative impact on your state of mind, so to say.
yatsufusa recommends a professional psychologist and i can not disagree with them tbh.

Hey there :) Very glad that you're seeing somebody about this issue. Great that you still feel like drawing as it's such a good medium in which you can express yourself. I'm in agreement with all the others in this comment section, definetely do see a professional and enter their office with a positive attitude towards recovery - remember that change takes effort. Make sure you're honest with your psychologist, but word of advice: if you want to do something that could hurt you or others, but know that you will never actually do it, then it's very important that you make it clear that you have no intention! Keep on believing in yourself, I know you can get better!
